Hi, I’m Holly!

Texas charm. A teacher’s heart. And a love for bringing people together around the Mahjong table.

For most of my career, I’ve been an educator and leader, and teaching has always been part of who I am. Today, I get to combine that love of teaching with something else I treasure—creating beautiful, welcoming spaces where people can gather, laugh, learn, and connect.

That’s how Mahj with Holly came to be.

What started with a love for American Mahjong has grown into beginner lessons, open play, private parties, corporate events, leagues, and a wonderful community of people who simply enjoy being together around the table.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and fun. I want beginners to feel comfortable asking questions, experienced players to continue growing their game, and everyone who comes to a Mahj with Holly event to feel welcome.

And because I’m a Texas girl at heart, I believe the details matter. A beautiful table, a little boutique flair, warm hospitality, and plenty of laughter are all part of the experience.

For me, Mahjong has never been only about the tiles.

It’s about the people sitting around them.
